Turin's History

Turin Bicycles, Ltd. opened for business in Denver, Colorado, in 1971. As a member of the Turin group, a national buying cooperative, the store was well positioned to compete in the fast growing U.S. adult cycling market. A broad selection of hard-to-get European and Asian cycling products imported by the Turin group afforded the store a competitive marketing edge that allowed for significant early market penetration and consumer recognition. The store's product mix included a wide range of bikes, from the recreational to the competition level, including Turin brand bikes, which helped establish the store's identity. Parts and aftermarket accessories, cycle clothing, shoes, and helmets rounded out the product offerings.

A central location near Downtown Denver allowed easy accessibility for a metro wide clientele.

The operating philosophy of Turin was and still is based on a high level of customer service, grounded in solid product knowledge, a professional sales and service staff, and an ongoing effort to offer our customers products which represent the cutting edge of technology as well as genuine value.

Turin has been continuously operated by its president, Alan R. Fine, for 35 years.

Turin has been selected a Bicycle Dealer Showcase (BDS) "Top 100 Dealer" in 1988, '91,'92, '93, '94, '95, '96,'97, and '98.

Turin is recognized nationally for its extensive selection of road and mountain bikes, cycle clothing, after market products, replacement parts, and most importantly, customer service.

As we continue into our 35th year in business, Turin Bicycles, Ltd. continues to lead the way in the Denver market, offering our customers the best products the cycling industry has to offer.
